DBR Group, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver (ADR Driver Certificate) to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Rochdale. Our client is one of the world's leading logistics services providers. They offer high-quality international freight forwarder services. This role is a temporary to permanent position.
Duties:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all road traffic laws and regulations
- Nightly trunk deliveries within the UK
- Delivering/collecting palletised goods to other depots and Palletline sites from our Depot in Rochdale driving a modern 44T ton vehicle, Double Deck trailers, box and curtain sider trailers
- Smart appearance, willing to learn and be trained up
- Full training will be provided
- Excellent tacho knowledge regarding sound manual entry and driving hours compliance
Requirements:
- You must have a valid, current HGV licence and a drivers CPC
- You must have a valid ADR Driver Certificate
- ADR experience is essential
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Coupling and uncoupling experience is essential
- Curtain sided vehicle experience
- Pallet work experience
- UK road network essential
- Previous driving experience essential
- A good solid awareness of the law relating to driver's hours regulations and tachographs
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
- Good communication skills, both customer and office, and able to work using own initiative
- Awareness of Health & Safety
Hours: Monday to Friday, with start times from 17:30 to 20:00
Remuneration: £18.00 per hour
