Macadams are a well-established family business with over 60 years in the vehicle breakdown industry. We are currently looking for a Breakdown and Recovery Technician who will attend various breakdown scenarios in one of our specialised vans. The role involves diagnosing a variety of faults and, where possible, getting the member up and running and back on their onward journey. This role will include vehicle movements using our specialist trailers to various locations.

This is a great opportunity to join a company that prides itself on helping and supporting all local police authorities, major breakdown organisations, and their customers in the movement of broken down and accident damaged vehicles.

Due to the nature of work undertaken, the successful applicant must pass the relevant police authority vetting to complete elements of the role.

  • 4 on 4 off - Rotating shift pattern
  • 10 or 12 hour shifts available
  • Day & Night shifts available
  • On-call duties required

Training provided. Competitive rates of pay to be discussed at interview level. Full uniform and PPE equipment supplied.

Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 1-3 light vehicle repair and maintenance preferred
  • Previous industry knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Clean and presentable and of good nature
  • Strong communicator
