Car Technician | £30-35K DOB| Permanent | Watford | We are seeking a skilled and experienced Car Diagnostic & Repair Technician to join a well-established and reputable business in the Watford area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles.

Using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical expertise, you will identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, ensuring all vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating to the highest standards.

Responsibilities: Perform vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.

Use computerized diagnostic equipment to test and troubleshoot engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.

Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and recommend appropriate repairs.

Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension parts, batteries, alternators, and electrical wiring.

Carry out routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and scheduled maintenance.

Conduct road tests before and after repairs to verify that issues have been resolved.

Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.

Explain vehicle problems and repair recommendations clearly to customers or service advisors.

Follow manufacturer specifications, workshop procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Maintain diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.
