Bennett & Game are representing an established and highly regarded residential developer who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

Our client specialises in delivering high-quality residential developments across the Home Counties and South East, with an excellent reputation for build quality and attention to detail. Alongside their traditional private housing developments, they are expanding into affordable housing contracting projects, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure across both developer and main contractor environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially secure business with a strong pipeline of work, where you'll play a key role in both existing residential developments and upcoming affordable housing schemes. Position Overview

  • Manage the commercial delivery of residential housing developments from groundworks through to final account
  • Prepare cost plans, budgets, valuations and financial reports throughout the project lifecycle
  • Procure subcontract packages, manage tender processes and negotiate appointments
  • Administer contracts, variations, valuations and final accounts while maintaining robust cost control
  • Support the delivery of upcoming affordable housing projects under JCT forms of contract, ensuring contractual compliance and accurate administration
  • Work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, employers' agents and clients to achieve successful commercial outcomes

Position Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding, a residential main contractor or SME developer
  • Understanding of the full construction process from groundworks through to handover
  • Strong contractual knowledge, ideally including JCT contracts, variations and contract administration
  • Able to manage projects independently with excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Experience working on affordable housing developments or residential main contracting projects would be advantageous, but is not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel between the office and project sites when required
