Recruitment & Development Lead Part-time; 30 hours (over 5 or 4 days, with 3 days in the office)
Redditch | Part-Time
Recruitment isn't just filling vacancies. It's building the future of a business.
We're looking for a Recruitment & Development Lead who thrives on momentum, enjoys influencing people and loves finding better ways of doing things.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to simply post jobs and manage an inbox.
We're looking for someone who sees recruitment as a commercial function. Someone who gets excited about talent pipelines, employer branding, succession planning, apprenticeships and improving how we attract, assess and develop great people.
You'll be our recruitment specialist and trusted advisor, partnering with hiring managers and senior leaders across the business to identify talent, challenge thinking, improve hiring outcomes and ensure we continue to attract exceptional people.
If you're energised by variety, enjoy building relationships, have a creative mindset and take real ownership for results, we'd love to hear from you.
Oh, and were a Great Place To Work , by the way! No, officially, we have Great Place To Work Certification, which recognises organisations with exceptional workplace culture based on employee feedback and engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll lead recruitment activity across a wide variety of roles and locations, while playing a key role in shaping our talent strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading end-to-end recruitment across volume and specialist vacancies
Developing creative sourcing strategies and talent pipelines
Partnering with managers to deliver excellent hiring outcomes
Building and promoting our employer brand
Managing and improving our careers page, ATS and recruitment technology
Producing meaningful recruitment insights and data
Supporting succession planning and talent development initiatives
Coordinating and promoting apprenticeship opportunities across the business
Enhancing onboarding and ensuring an excellent candidate experience
Driving continuous improvement in recruitment processes and practices
What Makes This Role Different?
This is a standalone specialist role with genuine ownership.
You'll have the freedom to:
Challenge the status quo
Test new ideas and improve how we recruit
Build talent communities and pipelines
Influence senior leaders
Shape our employer brand
Use technology, data and creativity to improve outcomes
Play a key role in developing our future talent
If you enjoy being trusted to get on with things and making a visible impact, this role offers plenty of opportunity.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
Has experience within recruitment, talent acquisition or a recruitment-focused HR role
Builds strong relationships quickly and confidently
Brings energy, pace and urgency to everything they do
Communicates brilliantly with people at all levels
Is commercially minded and solutions-focused
Enjoys influencing, negotiating and challenging constructively
Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail

Is resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
Loves finding better ways of doing things
You'll Particularly Enjoy This Role If...
You are someone who:
Spots opportunities others miss
Gets frustrated by unnecessary bureaucracy
Naturally takes ownership rather than waiting to be asked
Enjoys networking and building relationships
Likes turning ideas into action
Balances creativity with organisation
Wants to be known as the person who makes things happen
