£23 per hour with opportunities available for experienced PSV/HGV engineers looking to step into a leadership position while remaining hands-on.

Early and late shift patterns available:

  • Early Shift Supervisor: 04:30 - 14:00
  • Late Shift Supervisor: 14:00 - 22:30

Both working any 5 days over 7 including weekend cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PSV Engineer, Senior Technician or Chargehand with leadership or supervisory experience to step into a Workshop Supervisor position, or for an existing Workshop Supervisor who thrives on leading by example, mentoring engineers and managing a busy workshop while maintaining high engineering and safety standards.

Your background as a PSV Workshop Supervisor:

  • Experienced within a PSV, HGV, commercial vehicle or fleet engineering environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge with experience in vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs.
  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring or supporting engineering teams would be advantageous.
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) preferred.
  • A confident communicator who can motivate teams and manage workshop priorities effectively.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality standards.
  • B/B1 licence required.

PSV Workshop Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily workshop activities, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Allocate work across the engineering team and support technicians with technical issues where required.
  • Lead, coach and develop engineering team members to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Carry out inspections, quality checks and support defect rectification.
  • Monitor vehicle availability and help minimise fleet downtime.
  • Ensure vehicles meet all legislative, safety and company compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and workshop documentation.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure company procedures are followed.
