We have day, night and weekend HGV Class 1 shifts available , making these positions suitable for professional drivers looking for regular work as well as those wanting additional shifts.
You'll be working with established transport and logistics businesses, carrying out general haulage deliveries across the UK.
HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates Days £17.00 per hour
Nights £18.00 per hour
Weekends up to £20.00 per hour
Weekly pay via PAYE.
No umbrella companies you are paid directly through Millison Chase's PAYE payroll.
The HGV Class 1 General Haulage Role As an HGV Class 1 General Haulage Driver , your duties may include:
General haulage deliveries and collections.
Driving HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles.
Trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries.
Curtain-side and other general haulage work depending on the client.
Completing daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
Ensuring the fifth wheel and trailer are correctly coupled and secure.
Completing delivery paperwork and documentation.
Reporting vehicle or trailer defects.
Following Drivers' Hours, Tachograph and Working Time regulations.
Maintaining professional standards when dealing with clients and customers.
Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
Skills & Licence Requirements To apply for these HGV Class 1 Driver jobs , you will need:
A valid UK Category C+E / HGV Class 1 Licence .
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card .
Valid Digital Tachograph Card .
Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.
Experience of general haulage is preferred.
Good knowledge of UK roads and motorway networks.
Professional and reliable attitude.
Good communication and time-management skills.
