We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Contract Manager to lead a roofing contract based in Redditch, working predominantly with a local authority client.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven roofing professional to take full operational responsibility for a live contract covering reactive repairs and planned new roof installations. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
The Role
- Full management of a roofing contract (repairs & new installations)
- Surveying new works, reviewing drawings, measurements & site conditions
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour to ensure programme adherence
- Acting as main point of contact for the local authority client
- Attending and leading progress meetings
- Managing materials, plant hire, waste, and off-hire processes
- Overseeing quality control and closing out snagging works
- Identifying and managing variations
- Ensuring full H&S compliance including RAMS, permits, PPE & site inspections
- Maintaining accurate reporting, site documentation & handovers
About You
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager or Senior Site Manager within roofing
- Strong knowledge of roofing repairs and new roof installations
- Experience working with local authority clients
- Good commercial awareness (variations, cost control, subcontract management)
- Strong H&S knowledge and compliance understanding
- Confident client-facing communicator
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SMSTS (desirable)
