As Southern Stores Driver, you will be responsible for both the delivery and collection of goods and kit across all locations in the UK.
This will involve transporting items in a safe and timely manner, whilst adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
You will ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly and safely delivered, whilst also ensuring the relevant paperwork is accurate.
This role will include but is not limited to the areas below
- Loading, transporting and delivering items to locations in a safe and timely manner
- Review orders before and after delivery or collection to ensure orders are complete and correct
- Loading and unloading items from the van to the correct destination and obtaining signature
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Take returns from engineers and ensure they have correct paperwork to return to our Southern Office
- Support the Stores Manager and Stores Department when required
- Plan your delivery route as per the urgency of jobs/ cost effective way

Skills: Good attention to detail, multi drop experience.
Manage your delivery route and load vehicle accordingly to the route.
Excellent communication skills with a polite and helpful manner.
The ability to work alone and effectively organise your time to achieve daily targets set (where possible) as well as being a good team player.
A full driving licence and a willingness to travel to locations across the country.
Ability to walk, drive and lift and carry heavy items.
Excellent timekeeping and time management skills.
Willingness to go the extra mile.
A desire to ensure EDSB delivers excellent service in drop offs and collections including EDSB waste streams from Engineers and Sites.
Self motivated and a team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity and proactiveness.
Desire to work as part of a growing team and demonstrate flexibility to assist where needed.
Willingness to go the extra mile.
