The Company
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of building products, supplying direct to national and regional housebuilders, Tier One and Tier Two main contractors, groundworks and civils specialists, and commercial end users. They combine the stability of an established brand with the ambition of a business investing in growth, backed by a strong order book, a robust pipeline, and a reputation for quality and reliability across the sector.
The Territory
A key growth patch covering the M4 corridor and the wider South and South West: West London, Reading, Slough, Swindon, Bristol, Newbury, Basingstoke, and Southampton. This is a well-established region with significant untapped potential, ready for someone to take ownership and drive it forward.
The Role
- Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will take full ownership of new business development across the territory, including:
- Winning new accounts direct with housebuilders, Tier One and Tier Two contractors, and commercial end users
- Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and specification through to negotiation and close
- Building and maintaining a strong project pipeline, tracking schemes from planning through to delivery
- Developing long-term relationships with buyers, quantity surveyors, site teams, and technical decision-makers
- Working field-based with genuine autonomy and no micromanagement
The Person
- Proven B2B field sales experience within construction, building products, housebuilding, or infrastructure
- A demonstrable new business track record, with the ability to open doors and close deals
- Existing relationships with housebuilders, main contractors, across the patch (desirable)
- Commercially astute, comfortable with specification-led and relationship-led selling
- Self-motivated and disciplined, at ease working independently and managing your own diary
- An upbeat, resilient communicator credible at every level, from site to director
- Full UK driving licence
