As part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will play a key role in the delivery of building and services designs for a critical national infrastructure programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a Part II Architectural Assistant who is progressing towards professional registration and is keen to develop their technical, design and project delivery expertise in a highly regulated environment.

The Role

Working within the project's design function, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of architectural solutions from concept through to detailed design. You'll be trusted to work independently on complex design tasks, contribute to work package delivery and collaborate closely with engineers, project managers and key stakeholders across the programme.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing architectural designs and technical solutions across various project stages
  • Supporting concept design development and feasibility studies
  • Producing high-quality design and technical documentation
  • Working within a QA-assured design environment
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design challenges
  • Contributing to design reviews and stakeholder presentations
  • Supporting the delivery of sustainable and innovative design solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Assisting with planning and approval processes where required

About You

You will ideally have:

  • ARB/RIBA Part II qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience within an architectural practice or consultancy environment
  • Progression towards ARB/RIBA Part III professional registration
  • Experience working on concept design and feasibility projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience within regulated sectors would be advantageous

Technical Skills

Experience using:

  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Other relevant architectural design software

Knowledge of:

  • UK Building Regulations
  • Planning processes and approvals
