A Finance Specialist is required to support the delivery of technical and financial activities within the Statutory Reporting & General Ledger function of our Finance team at AWE.
Key
Responsibilities:
The preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts (AR&A), compiling inputs and obtaining data, casting and review of the final accounts.
The Finance Manager with 'Environmental, Social & Governance' (ESG) and 'Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures' (TCFD) reporting.
Supporting the timely and successful completion of the AWE annual audit activity.
Supporting the process of identifying leases under IFRS accounting standards.
Supporting the preparation of the MOD ALB reporting and other related submissions as required.
Supporting the continuous process improvement activity, including updating of relevant process documentation as necessary.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc) is desirable.
Experience of financial accounting work.
An understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.
Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across a range of teams.
Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
Advanced IT capability, strong systems proficiency, particularly in MS Excel.
Demonstrates sound analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
