An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Engineering Product Manager to lead the delivery of engineering capabilities supporting concept design, configuration management and digital product development within a major aerospace programme.
You'll be responsible for ensuring engineers have the digital environments, engineering applications and integrated toolsets required to develop complex products from early concept through detailed design. Working at the heart of Digital Engineering, you'll shape the future of engineering capability within one of the UK's most advanced technology programmes.
The Role
You'll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Digital Engineering capabilities supporting concept design, configuration development and engineering collaboration. Working with engineering teams, architects, IT and external technology partners, you'll define product roadmaps, prioritise delivery backlogs and oversee the implementation of engineering toolsets including CAD, configuration management and Digital Thread capabilities. You'll ensure engineering solutions remain secure, scalable and fully integrated across the wider engineering ecosystem.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning the product roadmap for Concept & Configuration capabilities
- Delivering engineering applications and digital toolsets
- Managing engineering product backlogs
- Working with design and engineering stakeholders to capture requirements
- Supporting CAD, configuration management and Digital Thread initiatives
- Managing suppliers and technology partners
- Driving adoption of new engineering capabilities
- Ensuring governance, compliance and data quality standards are maintained
- Supporting continuous improvement across engineering systems
The Person
You'll have experience delivering Digital Engineering or engineering systems capabilities within complex engineering organisations. You'll understand engineering design environments and how digital technologies enable collaborative product development across the engineering lifecycle.

- Digital Engineering
- Engineering systems
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- CAD and engineering applications
- Configuration Management
- Engineering data management
- Product delivery or product management
- Stakeholder management across engineering and technology functions
Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive or another highly regulated engineering sector would be highly advantageous.
