A supportive and inclusive school in Reading is looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may experience behavioural, emotional, social, or additional learning needs.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural needs
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs
- Help implement individual behaviour and learning strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
- Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The school is seeking a Behaviour Teaching Assistant who can remain calm under pressure and respond consistently to challenging situations. Experience working with children, young people, behaviour, SEN, youth work, sports coaching, or care would be highly advantageous.
