The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a busy manufacturing operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, drive performance and ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Working on a Panama Days shift pattern, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the production department, ensuring efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement across your shift.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives and team leaders.
Ensure daily production plans are achieved safely, efficiently and to schedule.
Monitor KPIs including output, waste, downtime and labour efficiency.
Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
Ensure quality standards and company procedures are consistently followed.
Manage staffing levels, shift handovers and employee performance.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Work closely with engineering, quality and planning teams to maximise operational performance.
The Candidate
Previous experience as a Production Shift Manager, Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Team Leader within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience managing KPIs and driving production performance.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good communication skills with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
Knowledge of health and safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
