Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor.

Job Title - Lecturer in Biology (AS and A Levels)
Job Purpose - Our Sixth Form centres offer education of the highest quality.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to join the team to deliver to a high standard and enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability.

Our colleges are part of the Welsh Government Seren Network scheme designed to support the most able to realise their full academic potential and progress to the best Universities.

The successful candidate will be expected to be teaching at the Pwllheli campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the Dolgellau campus on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

You will have the opportunity to work in a modern, well equipped environment where practical experimentation is at the heart of learning with the support of a dedicated technician.

Our ideal candidate would have previous teaching experience.

However, we also welcome subject experts who are looking to take their first steps into teaching.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high standards of teaching and learning and provide ongoing support, advice and guidance that promotes learner success.

Contract type - Full Time
Please note - Consideration will also be given to applicants seeking a 0.8 fractional contract or a job share.

Weekly hours -
37 hours per week.
835 hours annual teaching time 24 to 26 hours teaching per week.

Up to 5 hours per week working off site in agreement with manager.
