About the Role

Morson Edge is currently recruiting for a Temporary Office Coordinator to join our client's Brighton office, providing front-of-house and general administrative support from 7 September through to 31 October. This role would suit someone who is friendly, approachable and confident dealing with people. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors arriving at the office, so excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

The office receives around 20 visitors per week, so this isn't a high-volume reception environment. We're looking for someone who can create a warm and professional welcome, make visitors feel comfortable and confidently deal with any questions or queries they may have. There will also be some light administrative responsibilities, which can be learned on the job. You'll occasionally answer calls through the office switchboard and direct them to the appropriate person or team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors arriving at the Brighton office.
  • Greeting and welcoming customers, visitors and other guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Signing visitors in and providing any information or assistance they require.
  • Answering questions and helping visitors with general enquiries.
  • Managing the reception area and ensuring it is welcoming and presentable.
  • Answering occasional calls through the office switchboard.
  • Directing calls to the appropriate person or department.
  • Providing general administrative support to the office team.
  • Supporting with other office-based tasks as required.
  • Maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors.

About You

We're looking for someone who is naturally sociable, approachable and confident communicating face-to-face with people. Previous front-of-house, reception, customer service or office-based experience would be beneficial, but we're particularly interested in candidates who have the right people skills and professional manner. The administrative elements of the role can be shown to you, so we're more focused on finding someone who is comfortable being the face of the office and enjoys interacting with visitors and colleagues.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a front-facing, reception, customer service or office-based role.
  • Confident and professional when dealing with visitors and customers.
  • Friendly, approachable and naturally sociable.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Well organised and reliable.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Able to remain professional and helpful when dealing with queries.
  • Basic administrative and computer skills.

Desirable

  • Previous reception or front-of-house experience.
  • Experience operating a telephone switchboard.
  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment.

What You'll Receive

  • £13.50 per hour
  • Temporary contract from 7 September to 31 October.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
  • On-site parking available.
  • Teams interview.
  • Opportunity to work within a professional Brighton office environment.
