Payroll Coordinator | Preston | Up to £35,000pa
I'm currently supporting a high-growth organisation with the appointment of a Payroll Coordinator to join the business on a permanent opportunity.
Successful candidates must have experience running high volume, weekly and monthly end to end payroll for new hires, leavers and adjustments.
Responsibilities as a
Payroll
Coordinator:
Manage the end-to-end payroll process from input through to final submission and payment.
Accurately process monthly/weekly payroll for employees.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, salary changes and contractual amendments.
Process overtime, bonuses, deductions, expenses, sickness and absence payments.
Ensure accurate calculation of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments .
Complete HMRC submissions and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
Reconcile payroll reports and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
Liaise with HR, Finance and other internal teams to ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date.
Assist with year-end payroll processes.
It is essential candidates have:
Strong Excel and data reconciliation capabilities.
Strict adherence to recurring, immovable monthly deadlines.
High standards for protecting sensitive personal and financial information.
Experience with payroll systems and CIS.
Ability to work well under pressure & have the confidence to challenge and push back when appropriate.
