WE ARE LOOKING FOR TWO PREMISES & SECURITY OFFICERS
Salary: Grade 9 - starting at £26,050
Hours: 1 x 24 hours - 2 year contract AND 1 x 36 hours - fixed term maternity cover
Place of Work: Based at John Room House, Thetford with regular travel to other sites across Thetford

About You

You will be proactive and reliable with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills who can confidently manage a varied workload and respond quickly and calmly to changing priorities. You will be an effective communicator, able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, residents, contractors and visitors, while demonstrating professionalism, initiative and a customer-focused approach at all times. Most importantly, you will be passionate about delivering the best possible service for our residents in supported and temporary accommodation. In this role, you'll become a vital part of our residents' journeys as they prepare to move into more secure accommodation.
What You'll Be Doing
You will:
- Ensure the buildings are secure and safe for all residents, staff, contractors and visitors
- Maintain a visible presence in and around the buildings, patrolling the sites on a regular basis
- Conduct routine health and safety checks including fire, legionella, emergency lighting and other emergency systems, ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Undertake domestic duties including cleaning of communal areas inline with weekly and quarterly cleaning schedules
- Assist with void management, including carrying out property inspections, minor repairs and redecoration to ensure maximum use of the accommodation.
- Be aware of the importance of safeguarding individuals from potential risk of harm and follow current reporting protocols
- You must be confident dealing with conflict and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- You will be required to work 12 hour shifts, including overnight and weekends.
- You must hold a current driving licence and have the use of a vehicle, as the role requires travel to various sites.
