Role Overview
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of a busy, three-doctor private GP practice. You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the practice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, including clinic scheduling, appointment bookings, and supervising two practice administrators.
- CQC & Clinical Governance: Lead on all aspects of CQC compliance, clinical governance, and quality assurance, ensuring the practice meets and exceeds regulatory standards.
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the administrative team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Reception & Administration: Undertake front-of-house duties as required, including answering phones, handling billing and payments, managing correspondence, and responding to emails.
- HR & Payroll: Manage HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and payroll administration.
- Financial Management: Prepare monthly and annual accounts, manage banking, and liaise with the accountant for end-of-year financial reporting. Knowledge of accounting software for profit and loss and payroll is essential.
- IT & Systems: Maintain and develop IT systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery; ensure data security and compliance with GDPR.
- Patient Experience: Ensure all patients receive a warm, professional, and seamless experience from first contact to follow-up.
Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Practice Manager in a private GP (essential), with demonstrable experience in CQC management and compliance.
