V3 Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Hilsea for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in working accurately, safely and efficiently. The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play an important role in keeping the warehouse operation running smoothly. Working with time-sensitive freight, you'll be responsible for ensuring goods are handled safely, accurately and efficiently during busy morning and afternoon operations. This is a physically active role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently
  • Checking pallets to ensure dimensions and weights have been declared correctly
  • Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods
  • Moving and handling freight in line with company procedures
  • Carrying out heavy lifting while following manual handling and health & safety guidelines
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe at all times
  • Supporting colleagues to ensure daily operational targets are achieved

What We're Looking For

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Must have a valid certificate that is in date - not in house)
  • Awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures is advantageous
