HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Maritime Shipping, Energy and Subsea sectors.

This position of Account Manager typically focuses on developing key customer relationships whilst delivering a seamless sales experience. You will drive growth in line with the company’s strategic objectives, managing the company’s global distribution accounts, defining brand presence, strategy and developing new business.

Duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager:

  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and execute detailed sales strategies for the Distribution market.
  • Manage all aspects of account management pricing, quotations, and margin control to ensure commercial objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to monitor satisfaction, performance, and strategic focus.
  • Work as part of the Aftermarket Sales Team to achieve their goals and achieve budgets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support growth targets.
  • Prepare accurate market data and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and client visits, including international travel as required.

Qualifications and requirements for the Account Manager:

  • Proven experience in Retail, Distribution or OEM direct sales, with technical knowledge within the marine sector.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting.
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Project management from initial lead to delivery.
  • Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when the job requires.
