We are looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team on a temporary basis (up to 16 months). The role is responsible for providing the consolidated RNLI view to the Head of FP&A to support the Executive Team with Planning, Forecasting and Monthly Flash reporting, enabling the RNLI to manage its financial plans and direction.

Your Role

As a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will support the FP&A Manager through the coordination of monthly and quarterly financial cycles, and alignment with the annual and longer-term planning work. You will be tasked with focusing on the following areas:

  • Responsible for the financial forecasting and Risk & Opportunity process, as well as providing key Financial Reporting to key stakeholders. This will be delivered via engagement with the Head of FP&A, FP&A Manager, Finance Business Partners and wider Planning teams.
  • Drive analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to organisation strategy.
  • Support the development of the organisations 5 Year Plan by providing financial forecasting, modelling and associated analysis.
  • Analyse and suggest improvements that could be made to current systems, structures and reporting.
  • Lead on the tracking of financial performance against departmental plans and forecasts, drive for corrective action when needed and ensure that plans remain aligned to the overarching RNLI strategy, Business Plans and Budgets.

About You

You’ll be deadline-driven, able to communicate effectively with peers and enjoy a hands-on approach to the role. You must be a fully qualified member of a recognised accounting body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will need:

  • An established track record of creating and coordinating of financial forecasts, analysis and modelling.
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes and controls.
  • Experience coordinating Finance Business Partners to create forecasts and reporting to deadlines.
