We're recruiting a qualified and reliable Lifeguard to support poolside activities at a specialist school in Poole, working with pupils who have Complex Medical, Learning Difficulties, and Disabilities (CLDD). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful work, wants consistent weekday hours, and is confident supporting both hydrotherapy and swimming sessions in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre‐session safety checks of the pool and changing areas
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use
- Set up and prepare equipment for lessons
- Provide vigilant poolside supervision during all sessions
- Work collaboratively with swimming instructors and school staff
- Respond appropriately to any incidents following safeguarding and safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid, in‐date Lifeguard qualification
- Enhanced DBS for both children and adults (If your DBS is in progress, we can complete a risk assessment until cleared)
- Experience with children or individuals with additional needs is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, health & safety
Working Hours
- Tuesday: 8:45am - 11:45pm
- Wednesday: 8:45am - 3:00pm
- Thursday: 8:45am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 8:45am - 3:00pm
Breaks: 30‐minute unpaid lunch break (Wed-Fri) No break on Tuesday due to short shift.
