Langley has a fantastic opportunity for a conscientious, spiritual, and pastoral focussed Lead Chaplain with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our newly formed team in Bournemouth .
This role is a permanent part time role working at least 10 hours per week .
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £10,055 per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and inspire a team of volunteer Christian Chaplains, providing guidance, support, and leadership to deliver a vibrant and sustainable chaplaincy service that reflects Langley's Christian mission and values.
Provide compassionate pastoral care to clients of all faiths and none, offering prayer, encouragement, advocacy, and spiritual support that promotes wellbeing, hope, and recovery.
Create and deliver engaging faith-based activities, including prayer meetings, Bible studies, Christian courses, worship opportunities, and spiritual reflection sessions tailored to the needs of those we support.
Build strong partnerships with local churches, Christian groups, and prison chaplaincies, raising awareness of Langley's work and encouraging active community involvement and support.
Champion Langley's Christian ethos across the service, helping clients, staff, and volunteers explore faith, encounter the love of Christ, and experience a welcoming, Christ-centred environment.

A committed Christian with a vibrant personal faith, rooted in Scripture, guided by prayer, and passionate about sharing the hope of Jesus in a way that is authentic, compassionate, and accessible to others.
A natural relationship-builder with strong pastoral skills, able to connect with people from all backgrounds, offer sensitive support to individuals of all faiths and none, and encourage others through challenging circumstances.
An inspiring and adaptable leader, confident in motivating volunteers, leading prayer and worship, communicating the Gospel, and taking initiative in a dynamic environment while upholding Langley's Christian ethos and values.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work.
This person will play a full part to further the organisational aims and provide strong Christian leadership to allow Langley to be a leader within the different sectors in which it operates.
The postholder will always uphold the Trust's Christian ethos and Christ like culture and therefore there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.
Please note that the successful candidate will need to be happy to adapt to change and flexible in their duties.
No one day will be the same so the ability to refocus frequently is important.
