We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Multi-Skilled Operative - Machine Operator to join our dynamic team at a leading food manufacturing company in Poole, Dorset. As part of a globally recognized group, we have ambitious growth plans over the next five years, and we are looking for someone with the drive and passion to help us achieve our goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of extrusion machines within the Bakery, specifically focusing on the production of high-quality Crackerbread.
Immediate start available.
- Rotating shifts: Shift 1: 6am-2pm (Friday 6am-1pm), Shift 2: 2pm-10pm (Friday 1pm-7pm), Shift 3: 10pm-6am (Friday 7pm-2am)
- Conversational English level required.
- Pre-settled status required for non-UK workers.

Responsibilities:
- Operating machinery, including extrusion machines, to agreed parameters and adhering to Bakery Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements, including reporting unsafe acts or conditions.
- Following all Quality systems and procedures to meet food safety (HACCP), legal, and customer requirements, as well as maintaining external standards such as BRC, IFS, and Femas.
- Setting up extrusion machines for the correct recipe and monitoring the extrusion process, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conducting and recording all necessary checks during the extrusion process.
- Identifying and rectifying simple operational faults, and escalating complex issues to the Team Leader and Engineering Team.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the extrusion process and equipment to enhance performance and reduce waste.
- Responding appropriately to any emergency situations and following safety procedures.

- Are capable of making sound and timely operational decisions and know when to escalate issues.

- Monitoring and adjusting machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Conducting quality checks and maintaining accurate records.
