Welsh-Speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Welsh-speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a friendly and inclusive school in Pontypridd.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs (ALN)
- Support learning, communication, and emotional wellbeing through the medium of Welsh
- Work closely with the class teacher, ALNCo, and support staff
- Follow and contribute to individual support plans
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- The ability to communicate confidently in Welsh (essential)
- Experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or ALN support role
- A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- An understanding of ALN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs (desirable but not essential)
