Renzo Talent are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Pontefract. We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the modernisation of their business applications and processes. This role will play a key part in replacing two legacy systems and contributing to the discovery, design, and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, including end users, IT teams, and vendors, to capture requirements, document processes, evaluate solution options, and support the rollout of new systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working collaboratively, loves analysis and problem solving, and wants to make technology work better for people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery workshops to capture current (as-is) business processes and pain points.
  • Document and design improved (to-be) processes across affected business areas.
  • Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending replacement solutions for legacy systems.
  • Support ERP scoping activities, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and fit-gap analysis.
  • Contribute to ERP implementation activities such as testing, data migration validation, training, and documentation.
  • Liaise between business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors or consultants.
  • Provide ongoing support during project rollout and stabilisation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in business systems analysis, process mapping, or ERP/business application projects.
  • Ability to capture and document requirements clearly and translate them into actionable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with system implementation lifecycles (discovery through to go-live).
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel for process and requirements documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Experience with legacy system replacement or data migration.
  • Knowledge of reporting or analytics platforms such as Power BI or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Change management or UAT/testing coordination experience.
