We are looking for a creative, commercially minded and data-driven SEO Content Executive to help drive organic growth across a portfolio of ecommerce brands. Based in Plymouth, Devon, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong writing skills with an understanding of SEO, customer search behaviour and digital performance.

Working closely with the Group SEO Manager and wider Digital team, you'll create and optimise content that improves search visibility, attracts new customers and supports wider commercial objectives.

About the Role

This role combines content creation, keyword research, SEO optimisation and performance analysis. You'll work across a range of content, including category pages, product and landing page content, buying guides and editorial articles. You'll also support website migrations and contribute to the development of strategies for emerging search technologies, including Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to increase organic visibility and growth.
  • Optimise category, product, landing page and editorial content.
  • Create clear, SEO-focused content briefs for internal teams and external partners.
  • Support the development and delivery of content strategies based on customer search behaviour.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities through competitor research and performance analysis.
  • Improve on-page SEO elements, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings and content structure.
  • Support internal linking strategies to improve both user experience and organic search performance.
  • Work closely with Trading and Category teams to optimise priority commercial areas.
  • Monitor rankings, organic traffic and content performance, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the creation of evergreen content, buying guides, inspirational articles and other editorial content.
  • Ensure content meets brand guidelines while following SEO best practices.
  • Support content audits, optimisation and migration activity during website replatforming and redesign projects.
  • Contribute to GEO and AEO strategies to improve visibility across AI-powered search experiences.
  • Keep up to date with changes in search behaviour, SEO best practices and emerging digital trends.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about content and digital marketing, with the analytical mindset needed to understand what makes content perform.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in SEO, digital content, ecommerce, digital marketing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of keyword research and on-page SEO principles.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to interpret search, traffic and performance data to identify opportunities.
  • Experience using SEO and digital analytics platforms.
  • Good understanding of customer search behaviour and content optimisation.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and across different brands.
  • Experience supporting SEO or content activity during a website migration, replatforming project or major redesign.
  • Practical understanding of GEO and AEO and how content can be structured for AI-led search experiences.
  • Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic about identifying new opportunities for growth.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a retail or ecommerce environment.
  • Experience creating content briefs and working with agencies, freelancers or external content partners.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and website publishing processes.
  • Experience creating buying guides, category content or long-form editorial content.
  • Understanding of emerging search trends, AI-powered search technologies and evolving content optimisation techniques.
  • A genuine passion for SEO, digital marketing and staying ahead of industry developments.
