What you will be doing:
- Installing, assembling and aligning mechanical equipment to exacting standards
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Maintaining, repairing and overhauling mechanical systems
- Carrying out inspections, testing and fault finding
- Working safely within a high-quality engineering environment
- Collaborating with experienced engineering teams on major projects
What we are looking for:
You will ideally have experience working within one or more of the following sectors:
- Marine
- Heavy Engineering
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Nuclear
- Oil & Gas
- Defence
You will also have:
- A completed apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting
- Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating or static mechanical equipment
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings
- A strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Experience commissioning, maintaining or troubleshooting mechanical systems is advantageous
