What you will be doing:

  • Installing, assembling and aligning mechanical equipment to exacting standards
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Maintaining, repairing and overhauling mechanical systems
  • Carrying out inspections, testing and fault finding
  • Working safely within a high-quality engineering environment
  • Collaborating with experienced engineering teams on major projects

What we are looking for:

You will ideally have experience working within one or more of the following sectors:

  • Marine
  • Heavy Engineering
  • Industrial Manufacturing
  • Nuclear
  • Oil & Gas
  • Defence

You will also have:

  • A completed apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting
  • Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating or static mechanical equipment
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • A strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Experience commissioning, maintaining or troubleshooting mechanical systems is advantageous
