The organisation has a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a dynamic finance function within a premium luxury manufacturing business. Working closely with the FP&A Manager, the Finance Analyst will support the delivery of high-quality financial planning, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who wants to accelerate their career in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The role will support the production of financial insight, forecasting models and performance reporting used by senior leadership teams across the organisation. The successful candidate will also play a key role in helping evolve the finance function away from traditional spreadsheet-driven processes towards a modern, technology-enabled FP&A environment.
DUTIES
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Support the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Performance Reporting: Produce monthly performance reporting and detailed variance analysis
- Forecasting Models: Assist with the development and maintenance of rolling forecasts and scenario modelling
- Business Insight: Deliver analysis on revenue, gross margin, operational and overhead performance
- Board Reporting: Support the preparation of executive and board reporting packs
- Reporting Tools: Support the development and continuous improvement of FP&A reporting tools and dashboards
- Process Improvement: Help drive automation and standardisation of finance reporting processes
- FP&A Systems: Drive and develop the FP&A software, Planful
- Data Accuracy: Ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting outputs
- Financial Modelling: Support ad hoc financial modelling and analysis requests
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data quality
- Finance Transformation: Contribute to finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Advanced Excel capability
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex data
- Proactive and inquisitive mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Ambitious and eager to develop within finance
- Highly analytical, systems-focused and technology-focused approach
- Keen to spend time outside of finance to help build relationships and operational understanding
- Excited by the opportunity to help shape a modern FP&A function
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience within FP&A or financial analysis
- Experience within manufacturing, consumer goods, retail or luxury sectors
- Exposure to FP&A or planning systems such as Planful
- Experience using Power BI, Power Query or similar analytics tools
- Experience with ERP systems and data-driven reporting environments
