Barhale is a business founded on family values, having been established by our Chairman, Dennis Curran, in 1980. We are one of the largest privately owned civil engineering and infrastructure specialists in the UK, with over 40 years of experience in providing design, civil engineering and maintenance services working across multiple sectors, including:

We operate as a tier one partner for blue chip, regulated and private clients, working as part of large frameworks, joint ventures and alliances, as well as on individual standalone projects, developing long-term relationships based on delivering to the Barhale values which have been integral to our business since their inception in 1985.
Our direct delivery model is at the core of everything we do, as we believe that people are our greatest asset. Therefore, we robustly source, train and retain all our own frontline delivery teams as well as management and support services. We employ over 1,200 employees nationwide.

The Role
To carry out tasks set by site supervisors and gangers to a high level of safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Understand all relevant risk and method statements
Use best/safe practice on all tasks carried out
Checks are conducted on equipment that may be used is safe
Install drainage, lay concrete, kerbs, and pavements, and carry out excavation and groundworks, digging trenches, loading and unloading materials
Ensure a safe, tidy place of work
Implement best practice procedures
Maximise use of own working time
Ensure signed up for all permits and briefings before commencing any work
Communicate with the site supervisor on any concerns
Feedback to site management with near-miss reporting
Ensure you attend all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks
Deputise for conducting briefings and toolbox talks
Essential:
Experience in general civil work (earthwork, drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concreting)CSCS card
Electro fusion butt fusion welding
Either CPCS forward tipping dumper/ slinger signaller/ride on roller/360 excavator/telehandler
Confined Spaces (Medium Risk)
Cat4 + Genny/Service Avoidance
Desireable:
