We are looking for an experienced Senior Bid & Tender Coordinator to become a key member of our bid team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bid professional who enjoys managing tender submissions, coordinating procurement portals and ensuring high-quality, compliant bids are delivered on time.

Initially, you will work alongside our Lead Bid Writer, coordinating the preparation and submission of tenders. As you become familiar with our business, you will progressively take greater ownership of the bid process, with the opportunity to develop into a senior bid management role. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have previous experience coordinating tender submissions and using electronic procurement portals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor public and private sector procurement portals for suitable tender opportunities.
  • Download, review and organise tender documentation.
  • Coordinate the complete tender process from opportunity through to submission.
  • Prepare tender programmes, submission schedules and internal action plans.
  • Coordinate information from Directors, Estimators, Project Managers, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted before deadlines.
  • Manage electronic procurement portals and submit tenders on behalf of the business.
  • Coordinate clarification questions and responses throughout the procurement process.
  • Maintain bid libraries, company information, policies, case studies, CVs and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate tender records, submission history and bid performance statistics.
  • Support the Lead Bid Writer by preparing documentation and coordinating quality submissions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and post-tender reviews.

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Bid Coordination, Tender Coordination, Bid Writing or Proposal Management.
  • Proven experience using electronic procurement and tender portals.
  • Experience submitting tenders through procurement platforms such as Proactis, Delta eSourcing, Jaggaer, In-Tend, Atamis, Contracts Finder or similar systems.
  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end tender process.
  • Experience coordinating multiple tender submissions simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational and document management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable Experience

  • Preparing quality responses for public or private sector tenders.
  • APMP qualification or equivalent bid management training.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, M&E or renewable energy sectors.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement procedures.

Training will be provided on our internal procedures, compliance systems, industry accreditations and company documentation. Previous experience with Constructionline, ISO standards, NICEIC, MCS, CPPs or RAMS is not essential.
