We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Job Coach to join our team, supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as they move into meaningful, paid employment.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with learners to understand their strengths, aspirations, and support needs, helping them overcome barriers to work and develop the skills and confidence required for the workplace. Youll build strong relationships with employers to create high-quality work placement and employment opportunities, and provide ongoing support to both learners and employers to ensure positive and sustainable outcomes.
The Job Coach will be working 11 hours per week, term time only on a permanent basis.
Working collaboratively with the SEND team, you will monitor learner progress, complete workplace reviews, carry out health and safety processes, and contribute to EHCP reviews, while maintaining accurate records and reports. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to young peoples lives by supporting their journey into employment and independence.
We are looking for someone with experience of: Supporting young people with SEND, learning difficulties and/or disabilities
Identifying individual strengths, needs, and barriers to employment
Working with teenagers or young adults in a support, education, or employment setting
Advocating for young people and providing learner-centred support
Building and maintaining positive relationships with employers and external partners
Delivering high-quality support, monitoring progress, and completing reports
Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Working with IT systems to maintain accurate learner records
Applying health and safety practices within a workplace or learning environment
Working collaboratively as part of a team, while also being able to work independently
