What you'll do as the Field Service Engineer:
Install, maintain and repair analytical instrumentation at customer sites, working hands-on with hardware, software and applications.
Diagnose and resolve faults using a logical approach, with remote support from colleagues when you need it.
Keep customers ahead of problems by advising on best practice to prevent unplanned visits.
Write up clear service reports in the company CRM after each visit and manage your own spare-parts inventory.
Spot opportunities to help customers with additional instruments, consumables or training, and flag them to the team.
What you'll need to apply:
A degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, analytical chemistry or another physical science
Hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instruments such as GC, GC-MS or HPLC - including detecting faults and carrying out repairs
Able and genuinely willing to travel and stay away from home for most of the working week, with a valid full UK driving licence
