They are now seeking a Qualified Practice Accountant who thrives on variety, client interaction, and technical challenge. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse and loyal client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex queries and preparing high-quality annual accounts and performance reports
  • Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Producing accurate management accounts within agreed deadlines
  • Delivering complex tax advice across corporate and personal tax
  • Handling client issues, complaints, and technical challenges with confidence
  • Preparing for and managing HMRC audits and investigations
  • Working within budget to produce fully cross-referenced files and financial statements for review
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
  • Ensuring all review points are cleared promptly and professionally
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and managing day-to-day communication
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams
  • Assisting with ad hoc departmental duties as required

You'll be ACA/ACCA qualified, finalist, or QBE with a background in practice and a passion for delivering exceptional client service with a strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, external auditing, and corporate and personal tax. Experience of managing a client portfolio, tender writing, staff management and advanced knowledge of VAT, PAYE, shareholding, and dividends.
