We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join a leading global organisation at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Based in Oxfordshire, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical imaging technology that improves access to healthcare worldwide.

As a Procurement Engineer, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of globally sourced components, driving long-term sourcing strategies and ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply chain. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to influence strategic sourcing decisions within a collaborative, international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical interface between Procurement, R&D, and suppliers, supporting cost analysis throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives including: Cost Value Engineering (CVE), Should-cost modelling, Benchmarking and target costing.
  • Support product development by providing cost estimates and manufacturing recommendations.
  • Partner with Procurement teams during supplier negotiations through data-driven insights.
  • Develop and standardise cost optimisation methodologies and tools.
  • Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives and digitalisation programmes.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across the UK, Germany, China, and international supplier base.
Your Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in engineering and/or procurement with strong supplier engagement.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electro-mechanical components and manufacturing processes such as: Sheet metal fabrication, Machining and casting, Composite structures, Mechanical assemblies and cable assemblies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis, cost structures, and value engineering.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident working in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
