Hire Negotiator Oxford £32,000 - £38,000 + Progression + Benefits The Opportunity NEOS Engineering are partnered with a well-established and highly respected plant hire business who are looking to appoint an experienced Hire Negotiator to join their busy Oxford depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

You'll become the first point of contact for customers, ensuring hires run smoothly from initial enquiry through to collection, whilst supporting the depot in maximising utilisation and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Whether you're already working as a Hire Negotiator or are an experienced Hire Controller looking for a fresh challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role As the Hire Negotiator, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the depot, managing customer enquiries and ensuring equipment is delivered on time and to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include: Handling inbound hire enquiries and providing customers with expert advice.

Producing quotations and converting enquiries into confirmed hires.

Coordinating deliveries, collections and exchanges with the transport team.

Liaising with the workshop to ensure equipment is prepared and available.

Building long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.

Processing hire contracts, off-hires and associated administration.

Resolving customer queries quickly and professionally.

Supporting the Depot Manager with utilisation and commercial targets.

The Candidate We're looking for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment and understands the pace of the hire industry.

You'll ideally have: Previous experience as a Hire Negotiator, Hire Controller, Hire Desk Controller or Hire Coordinator.

Experience within Plant Hire, Construction Equipment, Powered Access, Tool Hire or Equipment Rental.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Good commercial awareness and confidence working towards depot targets.

A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
