We have a brilliant opportunity to join our fantastic team in Exeter. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.
We work with customers who have experienced homelessness, across a range of properties and grounds. As our handy person youll spend much of your time working at Prospect House in Exeter with occasional visits to our site in Northgate court.
Typical day
Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.
Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.
Carry out regular fire safety checks.
Work closely with colleagues, contractors and customers
Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit.

General maintenance know-how, including a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom.

Job details
Permanent, part time (12 hpw). We mainly work flexible hoursto be agreed at interview.
Youll be based at Prospects House in Exeter, you'll also provide support at another site within the local area as part of your role.
Occasionally youll head outside the patch for all hands on deck situations.
Youll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
