The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a prestigious independent school in Oxford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef de Partie looking for a Monday to Friday role with the potential to become permanent. You will be working as part of a professional brigade of four chefs, preparing high-quality food from scratch.
The school also provides hospitality catering, including fine-dining dinners and special events , offering a varied and rewarding working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Working across different sections of the kitchen as a Chef de Partie
Preparing and cooking food from scratch to a high standard
Supporting the wider kitchen brigade during busy service periods
Assisting with hospitality events and fine-dining dinners
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and presentation
Working efficiently as part of a small, professional team
About the School
The school caters forstudents aged 818and places a strong emphasis on fresh, high-quality food. All food is prepared from scratch, and the kitchen operates as part of a well-established contract catering operation.
There are three lunch sittings, with service running from10:55am to 1:45pm, providing a structured daytime service.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie
Experience in volume catering
Good knowledge of fresh food preparation and cooking
Ability to work across different kitchen sections
A positive, professional attitude and good team-working skills
An Enhanced DBS is required for the role; the agency can assist with your application
