About the Role
Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Night Drivers for a well-established transport and logistics company based in Wakefield. This role involves trunking to pallet network hubs using modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles. The client operates a fleet of curtain-sided, tail-lift and double-deck trailers and is looking to build a pool of reliable drivers for regular holiday and sickness cover. Drivers who perform well will become preferred drivers for future bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete trunking runs between distribution centres and pallet network hubs
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Maintain excellent standards of vehicle care and road safety
- Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Deliver a professional service at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
- Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
