Class 1 Day Driver Location: Wakefield
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour

About the Role Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Day Drivers for a leading transport and logistics company based in Wakefield.
The role includes a mixture of nationwide full-load deliveries and local multi-drop work, completing a maximum of six deliveries per shift. You'll be driving modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles with curtain-side and tail-lift trailers.
Drivers who demonstrate reliability and professionalism will become preferred drivers for future holiday and sickness cover.
Key Responsibilities Complete nationwide full-load deliveries
Carry out local multi-drop deliveries (maximum 6 drops)
Operate curtain-side and tail-lift trailers safely
Complete daily vehicle safety checks
Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately
Provide excellent customer service
Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
Requirements Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Driver CPC Qualification Card
Digital Tachograph Card
Previous Class 1 driving experience
Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
