Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire (Office-Based)

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Working Hours: Required to work shift patterns across a 7 day period which are based across: Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm, Saturday: 9am-5pm and Sunday: 10am-4pm. Across a typical 12 week working rota, it would be expected that any successful candidates would work the following: 20 late shifts (10.30am-7pm) and 8 weekend days these could be individual Saturdays/Sundays or full weekends, with a full weekend counting as 2 of the 8 days.

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Sales Executive with our client based at their head office in the Ormskirk area to join their dynamic sales team. The key responsibility of this role will be to convert enquiries into confirmed travel bookings and doing so by promoting the company’s unique selling points. This role will suit someone that can perfectly match exceptional customer service and driving revenue via exceptional sales activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to incoming enquiries via phone and e-mail communications whilst delivering an exceptional service and personalised recommendations.
  • Promote the full range of destinations, tours and packages on offer, with the idea of up-selling at all times.
  • Proactively follow up on all open enquiries with prospective customers; this will include maintaining contact until bookings are secure and ensure any concerns are answered with a solution orientated approach that protects customer relationships.
  • Overcoming any objections from new customer enquiries that may require offering other suitable alternatives that would meet customer requirements.
  • Liaising with alternative departments (operations, aviation and product) to finalise travel arrangements.
  • Build up a strong rapport and trust with customers that then encourages repeat bookings and potential customer referrals.
  • Working well with the sales team in contributing to team sales targets and monitoring personal KPIs.
  • Keeping fully up to date with the company’s products, destinations and pricing.
  • Sharing customer insights and market trends with the wider team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced in a customer facing sales role; this ideally would be within the travel or hospitality sector although this is desirable.
  • A sales background that has required working towards targets and KPIs.
  • Experienced in handling objections.
  • Comfortable in making outbound calls and experienced in taking inbound calls.
  • It would also be desirable for the right candidate to have a passion for travel and an eagerness to grow and learn within the travel industry.
