Our client is a well-established industrial packaging manufacturer, specialising in bespoke packaging solutions for customers across a range of industries. On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of transport, production, and customer service operations. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
Package:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm (early finish on Fridays when workload allows)
- £30,000 per annum
- 5% annual performance bonus
- Christmas bonus
- Private medical insurance after 12 months
- Company pension
Responsibilities:
- Plan daily transport routes and coordinate collections
- Liaise with production, customers, drivers, and third-party hauliers
- Process transport documentation and maintain accurate records
- Manage driver hours, vehicle checks, and fleet administration
- Monitor customer KPIs and provide regular reports
- Organise product transfers between sites
- Support accounts with month-end administration when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' B2B customer service experience
- Previous experience within transport, logistics, or production coordination is mandatory
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills (Sage experience desirable)
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Able to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Professional communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
