Experienced Technical Designer required in Oldham for an established design and manufacturing company, a people focussed Investors in People Platinum Award organisation.
In the role you will be working closely with the Design Director, taking creative concepts and turning them into practical, well-engineered solutions, using SolidWorks to develop detailed designs through to manufacture. It's a varied role with plenty of ownership, covering everything from technical drawings, costing and sourcing through to prototyping, site surveys and final production specifications.
We're looking for someone with experience in retail display, shopfitting or manufacturing, a strong understanding of materials and construction techniques, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You'll need a comprehensive understanding of engineering drawing across a range of mediums including wood, metal and plastics, as well as industry knowledge of fixings and construction techniques.

Required qualifications: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite knowledge would be useful.
This is an office based role, following successful 6 month probation you will have the option to work at home for one day per week. It's a 37.5 hour working week, with flexi time worked as follows (full hours need to be complete each day and Friday is the same):
- Start from 8am - 9.15am
- Finish from 4pm - 5.15pm
On offer:
- Basic salary £35,000 pa - £40,000 pa (depending on experience)
- Quarterly bonus following successful 6 month probation
- Annual profit share
