People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Halesowen, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, a Category CE Driver or an Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday, Start times from 19:30
Rates of Pay: Nights – £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carrying out trunking work, completing one drop and returning stock from Luton
- Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
- Supporting loading and unloading duties where required
Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category CE Licence
- A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- No major endorsement codes
- A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations
- Strong communication skills
Desirable Experience: Previous commercial driving experience
Training: Industry-related training provided, ongoing support and development throughout your assignment.
