Job Description
United Infrastructure are currently looking for a Senior SHEQ Advisor to provide invaluable health and safety support and advice to teams undertaking works on behalf of projects in the Yorkshire region. Your role as a Senior SHEQ Advisor will involve:
- Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary.
- Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues/subcontractors.
- Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day-to-day works of our operational teams.
Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management
- Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers).
- Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation.
- Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way.
- Demonstrates determination to achieve business goals despite opposition and displays personal commitment.
Technical or Specialist
- Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
- Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills.
- A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma and considerable relevant construction SHE water industry experience.
- Current full UK driving license.
