The Opportunity

Hamilton Woods are partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Transformation Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its finance function and wider operational infrastructure.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will lead strategic finance change initiatives that improve financial processes, strengthen governance, enhance reporting capabilities and support the continued development of the finance operating model. This role offers significant exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver projects that drive efficiency, consistency and commercial value.

This position would suit an experienced finance leader with a strong background in transformation, process improvement or large-scale finance projects who enjoys influencing change across a complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver finance transformation projects from initial planning through to successful implementation.
  • Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and reporting.
  • Develop detailed project plans, ensuring clear governance, accountability and delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Operations and senior business leaders to implement sustainable improvements across the finance function.
  • Drive standardisation of financial processes, reporting frameworks and operating procedures across multiple business areas.
  • Support finance system enhancements, ERP developments and process automation initiatives.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance are maintained throughout all transformation activity.
  • Produce regular project updates, risk assessments and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead workshops with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into practical finance solutions.
  • Champion continuous improvement, embedding best practice across the finance function.
  • Support wider strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and scalability of the finance department.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced finance professional with a proven ability to deliver business change and finance transformation programmes. You will demonstrate:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Significant experience leading finance transformation, operational improvement or change management projects.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, finance system implementations or process automation projects.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership teams.
  • A proactive, commercially focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
