£45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Due to continued growth and an increasing number of installation projects, they are looking to add an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to their team. The majority of work will be based across the Midlands, with occasional travel to projects further north. The Role:

As a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting fire alarm systems across a range of commercial projects. Alongside your hands-on installation responsibilities, you will act as a point of contact for guidance and technical support on projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure installations are delivered to a high standard. The majority of projects will be located throughout the Midlands, with occasional travel to the North required depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and configure a variety of fire alarm systems
  • Work with industry-leading manufacturers including Advanced, Morley, Kentec, and Apollo
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and project teams
  • Act as a key point of contact for installation-related queries and technical issues
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Fault-find and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning
  • Liaise with customers, project managers, and other engineers throughout projects
  • Complete commissioning documentation, handover paperwork, and project reports accurately
  • Support the successful delivery of projects from installation through to completion
  • Travel occasionally to projects in the North, although the majority of work will be across the Midlands

Requirements:

  • Proven experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and installation practices
  • Experience with systems such as Advanced, Morley, Kentec, and Apollo would be advantageous
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other engineers
  • Good understanding of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to projects further north
