The role of Assistant Buyer is to support the provision of procurement services to regional operating teams to support the regional and Group Business plan, build delivery programmes, commercial objectives, budgets and future growth requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

- Your main duties in the position include:
- Assisting the regional buyer in procurement administration, policy, procedure compliance.
- Assisting with reporting, fulfilling material and site procurement in line with agreed start dates.
- Assist in managing supplier partnerships, ensuring that all orders are placed in a timely manner aligned to requirements, and dealing with supplier invoice queries.
- In short, you'll add value to the overall Commercial function, furthering your knowledge and understanding of the function.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A good understanding of House building
- A good financial and commercial awareness
- A good understanding of the current technical and design regulations
- Proficient in COINS (procurement section) system and Microsoft Excel
- Numerical and literate
